A creamy, flavorful pasta dish with garlic, Parmesan, and a touch of lemon—perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces (340 g) spaghetti or fettuccine

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 6 cloves garlic, sliced

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

Instructions

  • Cook pasta in salted water until al dente; reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.

  • Melt butter with olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  • Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes until fragrant.

  • Stir in heavy cream and simmer 2–3 minutes.

  • Add Parmesan, salt, and pepper, stirring until smooth.

  • Toss in pasta with reserved pasta water.

  • Remove from heat, stir in parsley and lemon juice, and serve.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for the best flavor. Add pasta water gradually to adjust sauce consistency. Garnish with extra Parmesan if desired.
