  • 12 oz (340 g) pasta of choice

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup (80 g) sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable or chicken broth

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs or oregano

  • 1/4 cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  • Cook pasta until al dente; reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.

  • Sauté garlic and sun-dried tomatoes in olive oil 2–3 minutes.

  • Add cream, broth, salt, pepper, and herbs; simmer 3–4 minutes.

  • Toss pasta in sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed.

  • Stir in Parmesan and basil; toss well.

  • Serve garnished with extra Parmesan and basil.

Notes

Use oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes for best flavor. Adjust cream and pasta water for desired sauce consistency. Fresh basil adds a bright, fresh finish.
